Kal’s Motor Group is focusing on helping others who are on the path to recovery from addiction through the distribution of Life Packs. It's a heartfelt project this Wadena business feels strongly about.
General Manager Randy Mumm said they support Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge because it helps those who want to change their lives for the better. That's where they came up with the idea of giving them a backpack filled with supplies to support them as they leave the structure of rehabilitation and transition back into society.
Graduates of the Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge will receive a LifePack. The packs contain a Bible, a water bottle; gift certificates for a grocery store, a restaurant and a gas station; a journal to help maintain a positive mental attitude; and a pair of clean clothes.
Mumm said they will be donating funds for one backpack from every vehicle sold with a goal of 6,000 bags donated by 2026.
Mumm and Shawn Nelson, sales manager at Kal’s Motor Group, both echoed that the sign of a successful business is not just in the bottom line, but in what that business does to better the community they serve.
